Gathering Fun Highlights
* Wednesday night (August 22) 'dutch treat dinner' at Little Red Wasp Restaurant. Meet in hotel lobby by 5:30 p.m. to carpool over and back.
* Thursday (August 23) - OPTIONAL TOUR NOW SOLD OUT! OPTIONAL TOUR – Fort Worth Stockyards. See an authentic cattle drive, roam among the novelty shops, cowboy saloons, dinner/entertainment at the famous Billy Bob's! Transportation included.
* Friday (August 24) tour of the Sixth Floor Museum, which shares the JFK/Oswald story! View the infamous "grassy knoll."
* Friday (August 24) dinner ORIGINALLY planned at the GermanDeli Fulfillment Center will NOW be at "Esperanza's" (Mexican restaurant) in Fort Worth.
* "Teen Club" atmosphere in our hospitality space, August 23-25!
* Interesting and intriguing course sessions on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25 with some well-qualified Brats as presenters!

The OVERSEAS BRATS "Fort Worth Gathering" is hosted by the Sheraton Fort Worth and Brat couple, Bart & Barbara Walker Bartlett.

​Room Rates for single /double/triple/quad occupancy are at the special group rate of $129 a night for either a traditional king or traditional queen/queen! Our room block cut-off date is August 2, 2018. After that date – it is up to the hotel what availability/rate they can offer us.

Special notes:
* This hotel DOES NOT OFFER shuttle service to either the Dallas-Fort Worth or Love Airports.
* You DO NOT have to stay at this hotel in order to attend the Fort Worth Gathering!

There are two options for registration: Comprehensive Package and Pro-Rated Package:

Comprehensive Package
Includes:
* Three major meals (Friday lunch & Friday – Saturday night dinners).
* Snacks and drinks in our hospitality space, August 23-25.
* Admittance to all sessions.
* Booklet prepared for the event containing a directory of all participants and event activities.
* Entertainment Saturday evening (dance).
* Specially-prepared name badge. (Your admittance to all functions and the hospitality suite.)

- Admittance to the hospitality suite requires being a paid registrant for the "gathering."
- When you purchase the comprehensive package, you do not have to purchase any of the pro-rated meal items listed below because the comprehensive package includes all this.

FRIDAY AFTERNOON TOUR & EVENING-ONLY PRO-RATA PACKAGE
Friday (August 24) tour of the Sixth Floor Museum, and dinner at "Esperanza's" (Mexican restaurant) in Fort Worth (change from the German Deli Fulfillment Center). Transportation provided to Esperanza's.
NOTE: Due to circumstances beyond our control, we've had to make a venue change for Friday's dinner. The dinner will now be held at "Esperanza's" (Mexican restaurant) in Fort Worth.
Party in the hospitality suite afterward. ​
  • For those who selected the comprehensive package ​you need do nothing as your tour bus to the Sixth Floor Museum ​will drop you at the new location.
  • For those you registered as a "partial attendee" for Friday night only please contact Joe should you have concerns about this change. ​

CANCELLATION INSURANCE
This is $10/person and when purchased, 100% is refunded minus the insurance fee.

Cancellation Policy For Those Not Taking Out Cancellation Insurance:
Before June 1, 2018 = 100% refunded
Before August 1, 2018 = 75% refunded
After August 1, 2018 = NO REFUNDS.

Dress Code
Dress for the weekend is casual. Theme/dress for the Banquet is "Denim & Diamonds" (ie: western wear, jeans, cowboy hats, TX/Rodeo belt buckles which translates big, boleros, and bling)!

Wednesday, August 22
5:30 p.m. – Early birds meet in the hotel lobby for 'dutch treat' dinner at Little Red Wasp restaurant. Carpooling to/from hotel, walking or taking Molley the Trolley. RSVP’s needed in advance. Cash AND Credit Cards accepted at this Restaurant.

Thursday, August 23
10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. - Welcome! Registration begins outside the Cedar Room on the second floor of the Sheraton Fort Worth.
3:15 p.m. – Registrants for the OPTIONAL TOUR meet in hotel lobby for transport to the Fort Worth Stockyards.
3 – 6 p.m. & after dinner – hospitality suite open (at a suite on the 12th floor – TBA).

Friday, August 24
9 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. - Registration & Brats Store outside the Cedar Room on the second floor of the Sheraton Fort Worth.
9 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. - Session I in Magnolia II on the second floor. "Bratman Returns," a general session for everyone hosted by OVERSEAS BRATS President Joe Condrill
10:20 – 11:30 a.m. – Session II in Magnolia II on the second floor. Dr. George Junne, Jr., is a national authority on the role on Afro-Americans in the military from the French & Indian War to the present. As 2018 is the centennial of the end of World War I, he’ll do a talk on the anniversary as it pertains to Afro-Americans in the military.
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Luncheon Cypress Ballroom on the second floor.
1 – 1:45 p.m. – Meet in hotel lobby for transportation to the Sixth Floor Museum.
2 – 5 p.m. – Staggered tour of the Sixth Floor Museum. Time provided to visit their book store.
5 – 6 p.m. - In transit to "Esperanza's" (Mexican restaurant) in Fort Worth. (This is a CHANGE from the German Deli Fulfillment Center in Grapevine). Dinner included as part of tour. Cash and Credit Cards accepted for Beer & Wine purchases.

Saturday, August 25
9 a.m.– 10:15 a.m. - Session III in Magnolia II on the second floor. "Participate in the making of BRAT and Kids of Warriors book series," with Brat author Michael Joseph Lyons.
10:15 a.m. – Noon – Session IV in Magnolia II on the second floor. "Building Best Brat Friendships Forever" with Maryl Ball Sellman.
1 -1:45 p.m. – Session V in Magnolia II on the second floor. "Women Air Force Service Pilots," with author Muffet Frisch.
2-4 p.m. – Session VI in the Magnolia II on the second floor. Peter Grammer will host the Documentary: "Brown Babies: The Mischlingskinder Story."
6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. - Cocktail hour Cypress Ballroom pre-function area.
7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. – Dinner in Cypress Ballroom.
8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. – Announcements/Recog​nitions​/Program.
8:30 p.m. - Midnight – Dance with DJ.
